Richard Goldsworthy

Music for Solo Piano

Richard was born in Cairns, in the tropical north of Australia and spent his early childhood in the tiny rainforest village of Kuranda. Much of his music is inspired by the unique beauty of Australia's natural landscape.

After studying classical piano through his childhood, Richard began composing as a teenager, releasing his first album, Firelight Moon in 1992. Returning to live in his native tropical North Queensland inspired 2 more albums, Magic Happens and Hidden Dancers.

During 2004-2005 Richard spent several months traveling and performing in Japan, where he composed music for his album “Silk”, before returning to Australia to compose and produce his latest work, ‘The Quietening”.

Richard now lives at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
